How we make money
The short version is the disclosure you'll see next to every quote button on this site:
This site doesn't sell vinyl siding or charge installers for a listing. The only revenue path runs through the quote button: clicking it puts your project in front of our matching partners, and one of them compensates us if you end up requesting quotes that way. A name appearing in a city's installer list hasn't paid for that placement, whether that list comes from a state license file or from Google's own ratings, and the crew that eventually calls you back isn't guaranteed to be one of those names.
The technical content on this site, including every ASTM reference and cost figure, is built the same way regardless of whether it ever earns a dollar.
Compensation only happens on the other side of that same quote button: a matching partner pays us if a click there turns into a quote request, never the reverse. Installers named in a city list haven't paid anything for that placement, and there's no guarantee the crew that follows up with you is one of those names.
The quote button
Pages with listings also carry a quote button. It opens a quote request run by our matching partners, not by the businesses listed on the page. When you ask for quotes through it, a partner may pay us. That is how we pay for running this site.
The partner decides which companies to match you with, so the companies that contact you may not be the ones listed on the page you came from. Before you hire anyone, check their license the same way you would check a listed business.
What it costs you
Using Vinyl Siding Installers costs homeowners nothing. You don't pay us for listings, lookups or quote requests.
What money doesn't change
- Listings come from state license records or, on top-rated lists, from Google Maps ratings. No business pays to be listed, to be left off, or for its position.
- License listings are sorted alphabetically. Top-rated lists are ranked only by Google rating and review count.
- There are no paid placements today. If we add any, they will be marked Sponsored.
- Verify license links go only to the state's license registry, never to a partner.
How to tell the links apart
Quote buttons always sit in a box with the disclosure above, and they are marked as sponsored links in the page code (rel="sponsored"). Every other outbound link on the site goes to an official license record, a business's Google Maps listing, or a source we cite.
